Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of communication between father and son shown in the film Miracle in Cell no. 7. This study evaluates the type of communication between the roles of father and son through a psychosocial approach in the film Miracle in Cell No. 7. Researchers in this study collected data based on observation techniques, documentation studies, and literature studies. Data analysis used a descriptive qualitative approach to collect data. Researchers used a comprehensive film analysis to collect data in this study. Based on the results of the study, the film Miracle in Cell no. 7 not only shows a touching story between a father and son, but also represents humanistic values in family relationships that reflect the social reality of society. From the film Miracle in Cell No. 7 it can be concluded that affectionate communication between father and son has an important role in developing the character and self-confidence of children. The relationship between father and child can be explained through Erik Erickson's psychosocial development theory.
