Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve motivation and learning outcomes biology in grade X SMAN 1 TASBAR through inquiry learning model. This research is a classroom action research, data collection technique through observation and tests. Subjects were students of the second semester class XB SMAN 1 TASBAR year 2011/2012 amounted to 35 students. The results obtained in this study showed an increased motivation and learning outcomes of students, the percentage of first cycle activity by 75% and the second cycle by 85%. While the percentage of mastery learning outcomes in the first cycle of 62.32% and a second cycle of 84.28%.
