Abstract

This study aim is to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on geography learning outcomes. This study design was survey design. This study was divided into four stages those were the preparation stage, the implementation phase, the data processing stage, and the reporting stage. The subjects in this study was students from XII IPS I, XII IPS II, XII IPS III, XII IPS IV and XII IPS V. The data was collected in form of quantitative. There was two kinds of data that presented in this study, data obtained from teachers (personal documents), and data obtained from questionnaires. The results of the t test analysis are smaller than the 0.05 significance level. Therefore it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between emotional intelligence and the learning outcomes of geography. Emotional intelligence has an effect on learning outcomes of 35.7% and the remaining 64.3% is not examined by researchers since those come from another variable. The researcher expects that further research can combine or find other variables that can influence the learning outcomes of geography.
