Abstract
This article discusses the Student-Centred Learning (SCL) approach. It is argued that while the application of SCL is related to classroom learning activities, it is also strongly connected to efforts to motivate learners, involve them in creating learning goals, and encourage them to find relationships between their learning and life experiences. Furthermore, the article explains that the application of SCL is partly related to cultural issues, viewed from both teacher and learner perspectives.
