Open Access Policy
The journal is an Open Access journal. Users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles under the following conditions: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
Who Can Submit?
Anyone may submit an original article to be considered for publication in Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya provided he or she owns the copyright to the work being submitted or is authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works (an exception in the non-academic world to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).
General Submission Rules
Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya. Formatting Requirements
Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya has no general rules about the formatting of articles upon initial submission. There are, however, rules governing the formatting of the final submission. See Final Manuscript Preparation Guidelines for details. Although bepress can provide limited technical support, it is ultimately the responsibility of the author to produce an electronic version of the article as a high-quality PDF (Adobe's Portable Document Format) file, or a Microsoft Word, WordPerfect or RTF file that can be converted to a PDF file.
It is understood that the current state of technology of Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF) is such that there are no, and can be no, guarantees that documents in PDF will work perfectly with all possible hardware and software configurations that readers may have.
Publication Frequency
Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya published twice a a year on: February and August

Copyright Notice and License
Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannyaallows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to its articles' full texts and allows readers to use them for any other lawful purpose. The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions. Finally, the journal allows the author(s) to retain publishing rights without restrictions.
- Authors are allowed to archive their submitted article in an open access repository
- Authors are allowed to archive the final published article in an open access repository with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal

Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Includes but is not Limited to:
- Refer and/or quoting terms, words and/or sentences, data and/or information from a source without citing sources in the record citation and/or without stating the source adequately;
- Refer and/or quoting random terms, words and/or sentences, data and/or information from a source without citing a source in the record citation and/or without stating the source adequately;
- Using a source of ideas, opinions, views, or theory without stating the source adequately;
- Formulate the words and/or sentences themselves from the source of words and/or phrases, ideas, opinions, views, or theory without stating the source adequately;
- Submit a scientific paper produced and/or published by others as sources of scientific work without express adequately.
Prevention
Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya will ensure that every published article will not exceed 20% similarity score. Plagiarism screening will be conducted by Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya using Turnitin and Plagiarism Checker X
Sanction
- Reprimand;
- Letter of warning;
- Revocation of the article;
- Cancellation of publication.
Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-Assisted Tools
Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya upholds publication integrity and responsible authorship in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies. The Journal allows the use of such tools solely for language improvement purposes, including grammar correction, sentence clarity, and readability enhancement.
The use of AI tools must not substitute the authors’ intellectual and scholarly contributions, such as conceptualization, data analysis, interpretation, drawing conclusions, or creating artistic or academic content in whole or in part. All AI use shall be conducted under human oversight, and authors retain full responsibility for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their manuscripts.
Generative AI or AI-assisted tools shall not be credited as authors or acknowledged in any part of the manuscript. If AI technologies were utilized during manuscript preparation, authors are required to provide a clear transparency statement within the manuscript, preferably in the Author’s Note section or before the References, as shown below:
Any use of AI-generated text, data, images, or visual elements without explicit disclosure may be regarded as a breach of academic integrity. The Editorial Board reserves the right to request clarification, reject, or retract a manuscript if the use of AI is found inconsistent with this policy.
Editors and reviewers are also prohibited from uploading or processing unpublished manuscripts through AI tools for any reason, in order to preserve confidentiality and protect the intellectual property rights of the authors.
Correction and Retraction Policies
Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya committed to upholding the integrity of the literature and publishes Errata, Expressions of Concerns or Retraction Notices dependent on the situation and following the COPE Retraction Guidelines. Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya will be consider to retract in the publication if:
- They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (e.g. data fabri-cation) or honest error (e.g. miscalculation or experimental error)
- The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper cross referencing, permission or justification (i.e. cases of redundant publication)
- It constitutes plagiarism
- It reports unethical research
The mechanism of retraction follows the Retraction Guidelines of the COPE Retraction Guidelines.
Author Fees
This journal charges the following author fees.
Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors are not required to pay an Article Submission Fee.
Fast-Track Review: 500,000.00 (IDR) / 40 (USD)
With the payment of this fee, the review, editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript is guaranteed to take place within 4 weeks.
Paying a fast-track processing fee does not guarantee or increase the chances of acceptance of the article. If you want to use fast-track review service, kindly reach us thru bahasaseni.journal@um.ac.id
Article Publication: 2,000,000.00 (IDR) / 150 (USD)
If the paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs. The fee covers DOI registration for each paper. However, The Article Publication Fee will not apply for a paper with authors from two different countries or more.
Waiver Policy
If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work. The author should declare that he/she asks for a waiver in the comments to the Editor box during their submission.
Refund Policy
The fast-track and/or article publication fee is not refundable under any circumstance. The fast-track review fee is also not refundable if the paper is rejected.
Advertising Policy
Purpose
Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya welcomes advertisements that are relevant to its readership, including educational products, academic resources, conferences, and other scholarly services. This policy ensures that all advertisements comply with the journal’s academic and ethical standards.
Scope
This policy applies to all advertisements published on the journal’s website, newsletters, and related digital platforms.
Guidelines
- Relevance: Advertisements must be relevant to the journal’s academic fields of language, literature, arts, and education.
- Content: Ads must not contain false, misleading, or offensive content.
- Independence: Editorial decisions are entirely independent of advertising. Advertisers have no influence over editorial content.
- Transparency: All advertisements must be clearly marked as such. Sponsored content should be labeled appropriately.
- Approval: All advertisements require approval by the editorial team. The journal reserves the right to reject any ad deemed inappropriate or inconsistent with the journal’s values.
