Journal of Innovation and Teacher Professionalism adheres to the ethical standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follows internationally recognized best practices in scholarly publishing.

This policy outlines the responsibilities of authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure integrity, transparency, and accountability in the publication process.

Duties of Editors

Publication Decisions

Editors are responsible for deciding which manuscripts should be published based on reviewer recommendations, journal scope, and academic merit. Decisions are made without discrimination.

Confidentiality and Conflicts of Interest

  • Editors must maintain confidentiality of all submissions.
  • Unpublished materials must not be used without consent.
  • Conflicts of interest must be disclosed and managed.

Fair Play and Integrity

  • Editors ensure fair, unbiased peer review.
  • Ethical concerns must be addressed promptly.

Use of Generative AI

JITPro follows international standards regarding the responsible use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in scholarly publishing.

For Authors

  • AI may be used only for language improvement (grammar, clarity, readability).
  • AI must not be used to generate research content, analysis, or conclusions.
  • All use of AI must be disclosed (tool name and purpose).
  • AI tools must not be listed as authors.

Figures and Visual Content

  • AI-generated figures are not permitted unless part of the research methodology.
  • Minor adjustments are allowed if they do not alter data meaning.

For Reviewers

  • Use of AI tools is not permitted.
  • Confidentiality must be strictly maintained.

For Editors

  • Editorial decisions must rely on human expertise.
  • AI tools must not be used in manuscript evaluation.

Publication Malpractice

Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, and citation manipulation are not tolerated and will be handled according to COPE guidelines.

Appropriate actions include rejection, correction, or retraction.
