Abstract
Low creativity in Object-Oriented Programming is associated with limited student involvement in determining the learning process. This study aimed to evaluate improvements in student creativity through project analysis in Object-Oriented Programming under the Merdeka Curriculum at SMK Negeri 6 Malang. A quantitative quasi-experimental method was used. The population consisted of two Grade XI Software Engineering classes, while the sample was one class, XI RPL 1, which received treatment over two cycles. Student creativity data were collected through tests and creativity assessment sheets and analyzed using a t-test. The results showed that project-based learning within the Merdeka Curriculum improved student creativity. Mastery percentages increased in fluency (Cycle I: 24%; Cycle II: 84%), flexibility (25%; 79%), originality (24%; 87%), elaboration (29%; 78%), and evaluation (32%; 33%). The t-test produced p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that project-based learning can improve student creativity.
