Abstract
This study aimed to explore the use of various instructional media to support effective classroom learning. A qualitative descriptive case-study approach was employed. The participants were 30 Grade X students at SMP Muhammadiyah 01 Malang. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documents. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that the use of varied instructional media, including social media and digital technology, increased student engagement and enriched their learning experiences. Traditional instructional media also continued to play an important role in supporting deeper conceptual understanding. Effective learning can be achieved when the media selected match students’ needs and characteristics and support the achievement of instructional objectives. The study recommends careful selection of appropriate instructional media to create optimal learning processes. Relevant media can improve instructional quality, foster student motivation, and strengthen understanding of the material being taught.
