Jurnal Pendidikan Sains and its editorial board fully adhere to and comply with the policies and principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Duties of Editors

Publication decisions

The editorial board is responsible for deciding which of the submitted articles will be published. The decision is made based on reviewer recommendations, scientific merit, and relevance to the journal's scope, and is unaffected by the authors' nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, or religion.

Confidentiality, disclosure, and conflicts of interest

Editors must maintain confidentiality throughout the review process and must not use unpublished materials in their own work without explicit consent. Funding sources and their influence, if any, must be disclosed.

Author relations

Editors ensure a fair, timely, and unbiased peer review process. JPS has clear policies on managing submissions from editorial board members to maintain neutrality.

Reviewer relations

Reviewers are encouraged to raise ethical concerns and identify any form of misconduct, such as plagiarism or data manipulation. Reviews should be constructive, and reviewers with a history of poor conduct may be removed from the reviewer pool.

Quality assurance

Editors ensure the published content meets the journal’s standards and that ethical approval is obtained for applicable studies. Intellectual property concerns are handled diligently, and any errors are corrected promptly.
