Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of e-learning based Think Pair Share cooperative learning model toward higher order thinking skills of students. This study was conducted at SMAN 1 Jember for X grade students and used factorial design. Two experimental groups (TPS with E-Scaffolding and TPS with scaffolding) were compared with a control group (TPS). This research was carried out to 180 students. The results showed that there is a difference in high-order thinking skills among groups of students who take the e-scaffolding in the TPS, scaffolding in TPS, and TPS learning; there is a difference in high-order thinking skills among groups of students with different prior knowledge levels; and there is no interactional effect among e-scaffolding in TPS, scaffolding in TPS and TPS strategy and the student’s prior knowledge on high order thinking skills.
