Abstract

Isomorphic problems are problems having different feature but same concept. Isomorphic problems can help students to identify concepts and the relevant information in problem solving process. The purpose of this study are to know student’s problem solving skills, to know the student’s difficulties in solving isomorphic problems, and to know the effect of isomorphic problem on student’s problem solving skill. This research used a mixed methods approach with the embedded design. The study was conducted on XI grade SMAN 5 Malang consist of 32 students. Physics concepts that were studied are simple harmonic motion.
