Abstract
The aim of this study is to master the concepts to determine junior high school students on the material pressure on the fluid and its application in everyday life, which learned problem based learning. The design study is a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group using two-class research sample. The class consists of two experimental classes (class VIII B, n = 28) were dibelajarakan with problem-oriented learning (PBM) and the control class (class VIIIC, n = 28) that learned with argumentative models. Measuring instruments IPA concept championship test, consisting of 25 pieces MC questions, validated by the level of reliability r = 0.738. N-gain average results showed that the experimental group was much higher (0.67) than the control group (0.58), being the criteria of both. N-profit results were analyzed with independent samples t-test. The analysis showed that, statistically, the mastery of the concepts of scientific experiment class and control class differ significantly.
