Abstract
This literature review aimed to analyze the optimization of students’ neuromuscular systems through physical activity in physical education learning. Articles were collected from four databases—Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Hindawi, and PubMed—covering publications from the last ten years (2011–2021). The keywords used in searching and analyzing the relevant articles included physical education, physical activity, neuromuscular, neurotransmitters, acetylcholine, dopamine, motor function, and student. Data extraction and analysis were conducted using the PRISMA flowchart method. The analysis of 30 articles showed that physical education learning influences the optimization of acetylcholine and dopamine, as well as the optimization of the neuromuscular system in performing movement speed and motor activities. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that physical activity plays an important role in optimizing students’ neuromuscular systems.
