Abstract
A study was conducted to address learners' lack of engagement and interest in learning. The aim was to improve their interest and learning outcomes using mobile phone-based learning media. The re-search method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK), involving 35 learners from class IX F at SMP Negeri 2 Malang. Data was collected through tests and questionnaires and then analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistical methods. The results showed an increase in students' interest and learning outcomes in social studies learning. The pre-cycle data revealed an average score of 81.9, which increased to 90.45 in the post-cycle data. The classic completeness rate was 48.58 percent, while the average score reached 70. In contrast, the average score increased to 83 with a classic com-pleteness rate of 80 percent in the post-cycle data. Consequently, the utilization of mobile learning-based multimedia can enhance students' engagement and academic performance in the context of social studies education.
