Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of peer tutors and snowball throwing models in improving critical thinking skills of students in class IX-F SMP Negeri 7 Malang who have kinesthetic and visual intelligence in social studies learning. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) through the application of peer tutors and snowball throwing models with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results showed a significant increase in critical thinking skills, participation, and activeness of students from cycle I to cycle II. Thus, this approach proved effective in improving the quality of learning and teaching in class IX-F SMP Negeri 7 Malang.
