Character education and innovative pedagogical practices

We are pleased to present JITPro Volume 2, Number 3 (2024), featuring scholarly contributions from researchers affiliated with Universitas Negeri Malang, SDN Sawojajar 6 Kota Malang, and SMP Negeri 7 Malang. This issue highlights current educational research that supports the development of sustainable, inclusive, and learner-centered educational practices across different levels of schooling.

The articles published in this issue explore a broad range of themes related to educational innovation, including environmental education through the Adiwiyata program, the implementation of Pancasila values and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika in strengthening learners' national identity, differentiated instruction, diagnostic assessment, innovative classroom management, and strategies for developing students' critical and creative thinking. Several studies also discuss teacher professionalism, project-based learning, and the integration of technology to support meaningful learning experiences.

A recurring theme throughout this issue is the importance of creating educational environments that foster not only academic achievement but also character development, environmental awareness, inclusivity, and active student participation. These studies demonstrate how effective pedagogical approaches, supported by reflective educational leadership and evidence-based practices, can prepare learners to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century while upholding national values and social responsibility.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial team for their dedication and valuable contributions to this publication. We hope that the research presented in this issue will serve as a valuable reference for educators, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, while inspiring continued innovation and collaboration in educational research and practice.
