Abstract
Classroom action research was conducted with first-grade students at SD Negeri 4 Madyopuro, Malang, in the 2023/2024 academic year in response to their low learning interest. The study applied Problem-Based Learning (PBL) together with the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach as a potential solution. Its purpose was to increase students’ interest in learning Pancasila Education. The participants were 28 students, comprising 15 girls and 13 boys. The study consisted of two cycles with one meeting in each cycle, and every meeting included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In Cycle I, students’ learning interest was categorized as low for 12.5%, moderate for 25%, and high for 62.5%. In Cycle II, the distribution changed to 12.5% low, 12.5% moderate, and 75% high, indicating an overall increase in learning interest, particularly in the high category.
