Abstract
The background of the research was the large number of Arabic language books that contain gender bias. This affects students' proficiency in speaking Arabic. Most students change feminine to masculine because the Arabic language books they learn contain more masculine words or sentences. This research aims to describe the process of incorporating feminist values into Arabic language teaching textbooks and to analyze the impact of Arabic language teaching innovation on students’ understanding and attitudes towards gender equality. This research is a qualitative and descriptive research. The methods used to collect data are interviews, observation, and documentation. The research group is all the students in the Shafa'at Al-Rasoul Secondary School and its sample is all the female students in the eleventh grade. Data is analyzed by collecting and analyzing educational materials that include feminist values in Arabic language teaching books. The research results indicated that the process of incorporating feminist values into the Arabic language teaching book takes five steps, including needs analysis, product design and development by incorporating feminist values into it, and its application and evaluation. The test takers rated it 93% or very good. This book is effective in enhancing students' understanding of gender equality by changing their attitudes and actively participating in education. The teacher and students respond positively to this innovation in teaching Arabic Keywords: Feminism, Arabic language book, gender equality
