Student-centered learning and educational innovation

We are delighted to present JITPro Volume 2, Number 1 (2024), featuring contributions from researchers affiliated with Universitas Negeri Malang, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, SMP Negeri 28 Malang, and SMP Negeri 3 Malang. This issue reflects the collaborative efforts of scholars and educators in advancing educational research that responds to contemporary challenges in teaching and learning.

The articles in this issue highlight a wide range of innovative instructional approaches that promote student-centered learning across primary and secondary education. The studies explore the development of digital learning platforms, game-based learning media, design thinking for educational media, culturally responsive teaching, Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL), scaffolding strategies, and social-emotional learning. In addition, several contributions emphasize the integration of arts education, cultural heritage, scientific literacy, and the values of the Pancasila Student and Teacher Profiles in fostering meaningful learning experiences.

Collectively, these studies demonstrate how innovative pedagogical practices, educational technology, and inclusive instructional approaches can enhance student motivation, engagement, literacy, numeracy, and overall learning outcomes. They also provide practical insights for educators seeking to create adaptive learning environments that are responsive to the diverse needs of learners in the twenty-first century.
